William-Adolphe Bouguereau fascinates me, he painted hyper realistically in the time of impressionists taking over and their pretentious outlook on art becoming the norm. Even today, now that art’s greatest achievement is marketing, educators debate about his work, while hacks without any skill sell their work for millions to hapless schmucks. 

So this is one of my paintings within a Bouguereau series, heavily inspired by him and his timeless art.
